For Chinese-speaking audiences, FISU is also bringing re-watchable content to the Weibo platform.
With #UniSportsClassics, competing teams, friends, and family can relive key moments from their career as never before.
“We all want to watch world-class sport, and I am happy that we are working with broadcasters and our own OTT player and social sites to give fans the very best that university sport can offer,” said FISU President Oleg Matytsin. “Student-athletes love competing at our events, and that comes through with the incredible performances we see from them on the field of play. This makes for content that makes you stop what you’re doing to watch and follow along with the action.”
FISU looks forward to also continue working directly with the world’s leading broadcasters to bring as much university sports content to people’s homes through linear television broadcast.
With the digital savviness of university student-athletes and fans well-known, FISU will enhance its immersive online experience by allowing fans to select their favourite competitions for re-live stream until further notice.
