The 2025 FISU Gender Equality webinar will spotlight innovative projects and best practices from different countries on gender equality. Through these examples, the webinar will address the challenges and achievements for women in sport careers on and off the field.
The Deputy Executive Secretary to Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS – Council of Europe) Francine Raveney will highlight the Council of Europe’s work on most recent initiatives and benefits of greater gender equality in sport.
Former track and field athlete and IOC Young Leader Martin Johansen (Denmark) will then elaborate on how the gender imbalance among staff can affect the progress of female athletes. His project ‘CoachEquity’ is aimed at bringing more female coaches into high-performance athletics.
