The Rio 2024 FISU World Championship Beach Sports will take place from 2-8 September in Brazil with beach volleyball, beach soccer and beach handball on the menu.
The competition draw for the Rio 2024 FISU World University Championship Beach Sports has just taken place at the FISU Headquarters in Lausanne.
This exciting event on the sand, for which 34 countries have confirmed their participation, will include three sports: beach volleyball, beach handball and beach soccer.
The number of participating teams for beach soccer meant a draw was necessary to determine the different groups. This took place at the FISU headquarters in Lausanne. Find out the results by reading on.
The beach soccer groups in Rio
The men’s teams will be divided into two groups.
Four teams will compete on the Brazilian sand in the women’s tournament.
The beach handball groups in Rio
All the men’s beach handball teams come from the same continent.
Poland, a very active National University Sport Federation, is sending its women’s beach handball team to Brazil.
