EHL campus: designed by students, for students

The EHL campus stands as a testimony to student involvement and visionary design. In 2013, a call for proposals attracted over 385 students from nine schools of architecture and landscape design worldwide, who submitted their concepts for the new campus. From these, 20 students and their professors were selected to visit Switzerland, engage with EHL students, and refine their designs based on the students’ expectations and aspirations.

The redesigned campus now spans 80,000m², significantly expanded from its previous 25,000m². It boasts nearly 1,000 beds for on-site student accommodation and 12 food outlets, including a high-end brasserie and a vegan restaurant, some of which are open to the public. Upholding the principle “a healthy mind in a healthy body,” the campus features top-tier sports facilities such as a 25-meter swimming pool, a wellness area with a sauna and cold bath, a multipurpose sports hall, pétanque, tennis and beach volleyball courts, and a 2km running track around the school.

Designed with eco-friendliness in mind, the campus harmonises with the natural environment and fosters a sense of community among students, professors, and visitors. This innovative and interactive space reflects EHL’s commitment to sustainability and well-being.
