Chengdu celebrates one month to go until the start of the FISU Games

Today, the 30-day countdown to the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games set the capital of Sichuan ablaze with an assortment of dynamic celebratory activities.

The Dong’an Lake Sports Park Multi-Purpose Gymnasium served as the launch pad for the celebrations in the morning, coming alive with the rhythmic beats of 30 Chinese drums during the countdown activity, and igniting the passion of the audience.

The celebrations stretched far beyond the boundaries of the Dong’an Lake Sports Park, with the entire city of Chengdu becoming a playground where citizens reveled in various captivating events.

At the Fenghuangshan Sports Park Gymnasium, a unique football match was staged between a team of celebrities from Chinese Hong Kong and a group of Chengdu residents.

Meanwhile, Baiqiang Park hosted a multitude of diverse activities such as street dancing, cycling, mini-marathons, and more, attracting numerous enthusiastic participants from the city.

In Yibin City, in the Southwestern part of China’s Sichuan Province, the Chengdu 2021 FISU Games Flame Relay was in full swing. Artistic gymnastics Olympic champion Zhe Feng held the torch “Rong Huo” high with pride, expressing his excitement on social media – “Welcome to Chengdu. Chengdu Makes Dreams Come True”.

As the 30-day countdown to the Chengdu 2021 FISU Games begins, anticipation and excitement reach new heights. Athletes, spectators, and enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the grand event. The stage is set for an unforgettable showcase of university sports.
