With the Head of Delegations meetings having taken place this week in advance of the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games, another key aspect of preparations is also moving forward as applications are now being accepted for working media accreditation and hotel rooms. 2,500 athletes, coaches, and officials from 50-plus countries will arrive to the United States 12-22 January to compete in 12 sports and 86 medal events in the North Country region of New York State at the Lake Placid 2023 FISU Games.

Sports Editors and Directors must complete the application for their news organisations which will include designating the number and type of credentials being requested. Individuals who will be using the accreditation must also be named. Individual applications will only be accepted from registered media, bloggers with a minimum 10,000 subscriber following, and media liaisons of sports institutions. All applications must be completed no later than Monday, 12 December 2022.

Starting on 12 November 2022, email notices will be delivered indicating if requests for accreditation have been approved or denied. Distribution of Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games media accreditation will be at the Main Press Center Accreditation Desk (49 Parkside Drive in Lake Placid) with specific information on how to pick up credentials included in the approval letters.

Please review this advisory for full details on the application process and for information on hotel reservations.
