4 May 2022

FISU representatives are visiting the venues that will host the Torino 2025 FISU World University Games Winter in the Piedmont capital and surrounding region.

Yesterday, the FISU delegation met with Organizing Committee and the people in charge of the key areas. The team also inspected the PalaTazzoli in Turin, which will host all the curling matches and some of the men’s and women’s ice hockey tournaments.

Today the FISU delegation is visiting the other two facilities in Turin, the Palavela (short track and figure skating) and the Pala Alpitour (Opening Ceremony) and the other competition sites in Bardonecchia (alpine skiing, snowboarding and freestyle), Pragelato (cross-country skiing and biathlon), Torre Pellice and Pinerolo (ice hockey).

The visit is set to end on 6 May following working sessions during which the FISU representatives and the Organizing Committee will define the program of the Games and the committee’s approach of international events – Turin is also the host city for the FISU World University Golf Championships this summer (21-23 July 2022).
