Head of Delegations Spring Meeting of Chengdu 2021 FISU Games to be held online

26 October 2021

Ahead of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games which will be held from 26 June to 7 July 2022, the Head of Delegations (HoD) Spring Meeting, initially set-up to be in presential, will be held online due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. FISU and the Executive Committee of the Chengdu 2021 FISU Games have decided to adopt an online format in order to preserve the health and safety of all attending delegations and maximise the participation to the meeting.

Similarly to the Lucerne 2021 Winter Universiade HoD virtual meeting held last June, the HoD Spring Meeting for the Chengdu 2021 FISU Games will include repeated sessions to allow participants with different time zones to participate.

The virtual meeting will be held on 28 February 2022 and will consist of reports on the latest preparations and explanations of policies and procedures concerning medical services, exit and entry, doping control, sports, venues, accreditation, arrival and departure, finance, transportation, accommodation, food and beverage, delegation services, etc.

On this occasion, FISU will hold the Team Competition draw in Lausanne, Switzerland, where FISU Secretary General-CEO, Eric Saintrond, will be the master of ceremony.
