LAUSANNE — Following fruitful meetings between the FISU World University Championships Department and the FIVB Beach Volleyball Department, the two organisations are delighted to announce the signature of a new four-year cycle collaboration between FISU and FIVB for Beach Volleyball.

The aim of the signing is to build upon the sports popularity among student-athletes and provide their the best competition opportunities within the international university sports movement.

Following the signing, the FISU World University Beach Volleyball Championships is now considered a FIVB Beach Volleyball 1-star event. This agreement reinforces the relations between the two world governing bodies and strengthens the growth of Beach Volleyball.
