LAUSANNE – The rankings of the Women’s Heptathlon and 1,500m competitions from the 27th Summer Universiade, held from 6 to 17 July, 2013 in Kazan (RUS), were updated further to the suspension of two Russian female athletes by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Tatyana Chernova, gold medalist in the Women’s heptathlon, and Ekaterina Sharmina, gold medalist in Women’s 1,500m, were found to have committed an Anti-Doping rule violation whose consequences also include the cancellation of their results obtained during the Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade. Tatyana Chernova and Ekaterina Sharmina are therefore disqualified from the Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade.
