XI’AN – As the celebration of the ‘International Day of University Sport’ (IDUS) and a significant outcome of China-France High-Level People-to-People Exchange Mechanism, the China-France University Sports Week, co-organized by FUSC and FFSU, kicked off in Xi’An city, China. Being a weeklong event, its opening ceremony was launched on 26 September, attended by Mr. Yang Liguo, FUSC SG & FISU VP, Mr. Vincent Rognon, FFSU SG, Mr. Xue Yanqing, FUSC VP & FISU CMC Member, Mr. Francois Capel, Deputy HOD of FFSU, together with more than 2,000 senior officials, faculty staff and students locally. Besides the football competition, the French team has spent a fantastic cultural journey in the city as well. Visiting Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine, they experienced the globally noted Chinese therapy of Tuina and fire cupping, learnt Chinese calligraphy; traditional waist drum performance, Chinese Kung Fu and classic Tang-dynasty dances dazzled the team members.
