4 June 2016

ULAANBAATAR– On June 3, the Competition started at 08:30 am with the Qualification Rounds. Qualification Rounds for recurve competitions at a distance of 70m and, compound at a distance of 50m.

The Media department of the Organizing Committee had a chat with Amarbat Chinbat, an archer from Mongolia. “Championship is going well. I’m competing to the WUC Archery for the first time and it’s my pleasure to compete with the students from all around the world. I think this Championship is the special one because it’s the last WUC Archery and it’s holding in Mongolia.” He said.

The delegates are very satisfied with the tournament. “The Organizing Committee have done nice job. I consider few women teams such as the Republic of Korea, Japan and Russian Federation.”, USA coach EG Lebre commented.

At 04:00 pm the Team Matches (each team was composed of three archers both men and women) started. The Bronze medalist of this competition is already known: the USA team has gained two bronze medals, i.e. in compound. For the recurve Russian Federation and

France teams got the bronze medals.

On June 4, from 08:00 am, we will witness the Individual Matches. Compound athletes will compete first, followed by the recurve archers. At the end of the day we will know the next bronze medalists. All finals matches are scheduled on Sunday 5 June.
