EUSA General Assembly – Elections and Gala

WROCLAW – On 9 April 2016, EUSA organised the election of its new Executive Committee for the term 2016-2020. Leonz Eder, FISU 1st Vice-President and EUSA Vice-President, chaired the Assembly.

The new board which will lead EUSA for the next 4 years is the following:

President : Adam Roczek (POL)

Vice-Presidents: Haris Pavletic (CRO) and Kemal Tamer (TUR)

Treasurer: Lorenz Ursprung (SUI)

Members: Bruno Barracosa (POR), Francis M.M. Cirianni (ITA), Ivana Ertlova (CZE), Ceslovas Garbaliauskas (LTU), Tarmo Jaakson (EST), Dmitry Kiselev (RUS), Panos Razis (CYP), Aitor Canibe Sanchez (ESP), Jean-François Sautereau (FRA), Bill Thompson (GBR) and Milan Zvan (SLO)

Then, the organisation of the EUSA Games 2020 was officially attributed to the City of Belgrade (SRB).

The General Assembly ended with the EUSA Gala in the Centennial Hall of Wrocław, during which EUSA presented a line of its traditional awards. For example, the Portuguese University Sports Federation (FADU) was awarded the most active NUSF, and Mr Valentyn Gavrylko (UKR) was awarded the EUSA Order of Merit.

The President of FISU, Oleg Matytsin, took the floor to congratulate the new Executive Committee members and wished them success in the future activities of EUSA.
