LAUSANNE – At the end of December 2015, FISU President Oleg Matytsin made a working visit to China. On December 22, 2015 Oleg Matytsin had a meeting with Xiamen Deputy Mayor Mrs. GUO. The FISU President expressed deep gratitude to the city administration and FUSC for a very high organizational level of the 3X3 World University League finals giving special emphasis to the city’s modern sports and social infrastructure. From her side, Mrs. Guo confirmed city’s administration interest in establishing cooperation with FISU, and in particular the organisation of international sports and educational projects in Xiamen.

On December 23, in Xiamen Oleg Matytsin held a meeting with Mr. Ni Zhen Nian CEO of Qiaodan Co., Sports Ltd., the FISU partner in the 3X3 World University League project. Particular attention was drawn to the prospects of future partnership agreement between Qiaodan and FISU during 2015-2019. The parties agreed to prepare and sign the appropriate document in the next 3 months.

In Beijing on December 24th FISU President had a meeting with FUSC leaders: Yan Liguo, FUSC Secretary General and – FISU Vice President, Xue Yanping and Shen Zhen, FUSC vice presidents. Oleg Matytsin thanked them for fruitful cooperation, underlining the important role of the FUSC in the activities of both AUSF and FISU and the aim for further development of collaboration between FUSC and FISU.

On the same day Oleg Matytsin visited Beijing Sports University, which awarded him an honorary doctorate degree at 2005. During his visit to the University FISU President delivered a lecture to the students and post graduate students on the activities of the International University Sports Federation.
