13th WUC Badminton – First Day of the Team Event

CORDOBA – Yesterday, 24 July, the first day of the Team Event competition took place at the 13^th World University Badminton Championship with a double loss versus Thailand and China for host Spain with an identical score of 5-0.

In Group A, China, after winning both matches 5-0, will battle for the first place in the tournament. Head in Group B will be decided today in the match between Germany and Taipei, which have the same points for the time being. Japan leads Group C, having a privileged position in the race for the first place in the group and have the opportunity to be a contender, although Switzerland still has a chance as well. Looking at the highlights in Group D, one can see the clear superiority of Malaysia and Korea over Canada and the USA respectively. The first place is waiting for one of them today in the “Vista Alegre” Sport Venue.
