Executive Director Opening & Closing Ceremonies for Gwangju 2015 appointed

GWANGJU – The 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade Organizing Committee (GUOC 2015) held an appointment ceremony for the director of the opening and closing ceremonies at the Business Room in City Hall.

The Chairman of GUOC, the executive director and other related officials were in attendance at the awarding of the appointment certificate.

“I feel great responsibility to take over the role of director for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Gwangju Universiade, an international sports festival attended by more than 20,000 participants from 170 nations”, Director Park Myeong-seong stated. “I will try my best to make a performance fit for an international event, while also making Gwangju known globally.”

The executive director is appointed for 20 months from January 1st, 2014 to the end of the Gwangju Universiade on August 31st, 2015.
