Granada OC delegates with Milan Augustin

KAZAN – Several members of the Organizing Committee of the Granada 2015 Winter Universiade are spending their days in Kazan performing different functions in the Summer Universiade.

They flew to the capital of Tatarstan on June 28th to live near the organisation of the Universiade. Between the 2^nd and 3^rd of July they submitted their ‘Progress Report’ to the FISU Executive Committee with all the news referring to transportation, accommodation and sponsors.

They also participated in the FISU General Assembly, where Aurelio Ureña, CEO of Granada 2015, accompanied by David Cabello, General-Secretary and Aleksandra Pilecka, responsible for international relations, ensured that participants “will have a great opportunity to live the event together with the city where the University has a vibrant presence.”

With them, Alejandro Molina, responsible for media, Alberto Casado and Pablo Sánchez, have gone to Kazan as volunteers, taking care of all kind of tasks in the different venues. Meanwhile, they keep on working towards the organisation of Granada 2015.

A year and a half before the kick-off of the Winter Universiade, the project is in the most complex phase. The Organizing Committee is working on infrastructures and disciplines while the marketing management and the catchment and training of volunteers is ongoing.

Some of them are taking part on the ISSF —International Shooting Sport Federation— World Cup, which is being celebrated in Granada.
