Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade Licensed Apparel hits Stores

KAZANThe second edition of the official Kazan 2013 licensed merchandise fair opened at the Park House Shopping Mall on Saturday, 16 March. All customers were given a chance to take home their own piece of the upcoming Games by purchasing branded products at especially reduced prices.

Soft toys depicting Uni the snow leopard kitten, the adorable mascot of the 27th Summer Universiade, appeared this past weekend on shelves of the official Kazan 2013 licensed merchandise fair. A line of mascot toys went on sale and already enjoys wide popularity among customers of all ages. Although the same can be said about all other souvenirs. According to Igor Sivov, Deputy Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, another 1,000 items of branded products for the 27th Summer Universiade are scheduled to be released any time soon.

The highlight of the Saturday evening was the much anticipated presentation of a clothing line designed by Kazan 2013’s official sportswear partner Forward. The wide range of branded apparel includes sports suits, t-shirts, hoodies and other clothes. Pieces of the official Kazan 2013 SU merchandise were modeled by volunteers who had been selected for the Victory Ceremonies staff through the ‘Faces of the Universiade’ project. As earlier reported, 35 companies, official licensees of the Games, currently manufacture products carrying the logo of the 27th Summer Universiade.
