FISU Seminar in Taipei City

TAIPEI CITY – The FISU Seminar for the 2017 Summer Universiade hosted by FISU and the Organising Committee of the 29th Summer Universiade, Taipei kicked off on March 13, 2013. It is a 3-day seminar held at the International Conference Hall of Department of Civil Servant Development of Taipei City.

Specialists and officials from FISU gathered in Taipei to share their experience and knowledge on Game Planning with more than a hundred participants from the central government, Taipei City Government, various National Sports Federations, and physical education colleges. Taipei City Deputy Mayor, Mr. Ting, expressed his sincere welcome for the FISU guests and his expectation for the participants to listen well, ask questions, and learn from the experts. 

FISU Summer Universiade Director, Mr. Marc Vandenplas also stated that the Universiade is one of the most popular multi-sport games. It consists of highly complex and challenging works. He suggested Taipei not to invent the wheels but to take experience from the experts to make the 2017 Summer Universiade Taipei a smooth and successful event.

Some of the invited lectures From FISU have credential of being members of Olympic Committee, and also involved in many multi-sport event organizing works. The seminar includes FISU Introduction, as well as Games Planning, Commercial Planning and Venue Planning as the three major themes. The chairpersons of the Organising Committee, Taipei and City Mayor Dr. Hau will also meet with the FISU experts.
