FISU opens Bidding Procedure for 2019 Universiades

On September 1st, 2012, FISU officially opens the bidding for the 2019 Winter and Summer Universiades.

The Games are already attributed for 2013, 2015 and 2017, i.e. Trento, Italy; Granada, Spain and Almaty, Kazakhstan will host the 26th, 27th and 28th Winter Universiade respectively, while Kazan, Russia; Gwangju, Korea and Taipei City, Chinese Taipei will host the 27th, 28th and 29th editions of the Summer Universiade.

September 1st, 2012

Launch of the bidding process

September 1st, 2012, to March 30th, 2013

Submission of the Letter of Intention

March 30th, 2013

Deadline for the Letter of Intention and payment of the Bidding fee

Spring 2013

Candidate city workshop in Lausanne (Switzerland)

July 6th to July 17th, 2013

Observer Programme during the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan (Russia)

September 14th, 2013

Submission of the Candidature Dossier

September 16th, 2013, to October 20th, 2013

Inspection visits by the FISU Summer and Winter Universiade Evaluation Committees

November 9th, 2013

Final presentation by the Bidding Committees to the FISU Executive Committee, followed by the attribution of the 2019 Summer and Winter Universiade

December 11th to 21st, 2013

Observer Programme during the 2013 Winter Universiade in Trentino (Italy)
