MAKERE – The NUSF of Uganda has selected its ‘Mighty Angels’ as they are nicknamed with equal representation from the various NUSFU affiliated universities. This team will be expected to tussle it out with the top ranking teams from USA, Great Britain, Ireland, Jamaica, Namibia and Zimbabwe later this month in Cape Town South Africa in the 1st Edition of the World University Netball Championship.
‘I have tried to make them ready for anything and nothing should scare them’, said their Head Coach Mubiru Rashid.
‘They are still undergoing training at Makerere till their travel on 29th June 2012 and we pray they shall lift Uganda’s flag so high at this the very first World University Netball Championship’, he added.

They have had several build up matches where they have displayed outstanding performances. During the last match between the very strong men’s team, they came out in the thrilling and unbelievable victory of 37-36.
