IDC Herzliya wins ASA Championship in Israel

HERZLIYA – The Academic Sports year of 2012 has just ended in Israel. In 2012, 30 academic institutes from all over Israel competed in 30 different sport disciplines. The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya has come out the firm winner of the National University Sports Competition, ranking 1st place for the women’s competition and 2nd place for the men’s. Most importantly, IDC Herzliya took 1st place in the overall competition ranking.

In addition, the IDC Herzliya Sports Department will be represented at the London Olympic Games through participation of:

– The IDC Herzliya Student and Judoka Alice Schlesinger. Alice will be competing in her second Olympic Games.

– Two Alumni of the IDC Herzliya will be competing:

  • The Judoka and bronze medal winner from Athens 2004, Arik Zeevi, who will be participating in his third Olympics.

  • The 470 sailor Vered Bouskila, who will be participating in her second Olympics.
