Educational Project for 2013 WU

TRENTINO – On June 23^rd and 24^th, Alison Odell, Nico Sperle and Kolë Gjeloshaj met with the representatives of the 2013 Winter Universiade Organizing Committee led by Sergio Anesi and Paolo Bouquet.

The purpose of the visit was to study the possibility of holding an international education event in the context of the 26^th Winter Universiade that will take place from 11 to 22 December 2013. As the University of Trento is extremely dynamic, its leaders would like to take benefit of the Universiade to demonstrate the importance of sport in many fields of research.

The first part of the visit was dedicated to the inspection of the venues such as the Congress Center of Riva del Garda and the University. The second part was dedicated to brainstorming in which the potential themes, subthemes and period were discussed. Filipo Bazanella, welcomed all participants to the meeting in the offices of the University Sport Center of Trento. The members of the OC wanted to better understand the FISU procedures for developing and promoting this event.
