9th Turkish Koç Fest University Championships

Opening Ceremony of the 9th Koç Fest

ESKIŞEHIR – The Turkish University Sport Federation (TUSF), in cooperation with Anadolu University, organized the final games of the 9th Turkish Koç Fest University Championships which were held in ESKIŞEHIR from 11th to 17th May, 2012.

The event attracted 83 participating universities with a total of 2500 athletes and 492 team officials.

Over 3000 participants from 83 universities

The colourful opening ceremony was held on May 14th in Anadolu University’s Stadium, attended by all of the delegations and officials including Eskişehir Metropolitan Governor and Mayor, President and Executive Committee of University Sports Federation, Eskişehir Member of Parliament, President of Parliament Education Committee, Universities Rectors, Koç Company Representatives, technical delegates of this championship and other official delegates.

After parade of universities, FISU Executive Committee member and Turkish University Sport Federation President Mr. Kemal Tamer expressed his sincere gratitude to the Anadolu University, the hosting university and other consolidators.

Competitions were of very high level

The final games were organized in futsal (m/w), basketball (m/w), volleyball (m/w), track and field (m/w), gymnastic (m/w), swimming (m/w), handball (m/w), canoe (m/w) and water polo (m).
