2012 WUC Update: Inspection Visit Triathlon

YI-LAN COUNTY – FISU Director of Championships Laurent Briel and FISU Technical Chair for Triathlon Dieter Bremer are in Chinese Taipei for an inspection visit of the facilities and accommodations for the upcoming World University Triathlon Championship. At the same time it gave the opportunity to have working meetings with local organizers and CTUSF. During these two days Dieter Bremer had the opportunity to meet with delegates of the Chinese Taipei Triathlon Federation and local authorities to secure the practical aspects of the race. Note that the Chinese Taipei Triathlon Federation and the city representatives have extensive experience in organizing national triathlon competitions. They take advantage of theFISU championship to acquire an international dimension and thus to promote this region as a center of triathlon.

The athletes and the CISCA members will be housed in the Shangri-la Hotel which is located within 300 m of the competition venue. The hotel largely satisfied the expectations of FISU and offers all modern conveniences. Transportation will be arranged by the organizers from the airport toTaipei City and Yi-Lan County. Once again CTUSF and the local organizers set the bar high.
