GWANGJU – The Organizing Committee Secretariat of 2012 Gwangju World University Badminton Championship held a meeting to examine progress in the preparatory work for the championship on March 7th 2012.
Presided over by the head of the General Business Headquarters, Il-sik Roh, the staff members of the secretariat reported the progress of their responsibilities such as accommodation, transportation, medical service, safety and PR to prevent possible problems from occurring in the organization of the championship.
Tae-up Jeong, manager of Sports Division said, “A complete preparation for all functional areas is crucial to host a successful badminton championship, which will be participated by more than 20 countries.”
He also stated, “We shall vow to step up the work of the preparation that will ensure the smooth operation of the event as well as provide a comfortable environment for athletes, and enhance the image of Gwangju.”
