2012 WUC Update: Basketball 3×3, Kragujevac for a first

BRUSSELS – The Serbian city ofKragujevac will be the first host city of a World University Basketball 3×3 Championship.

FISU CT Chair, Kosta Iliev, has visited the city and had a chance to ensureFISUof the support of the local authorities.

The Organizing Committee has especially received the support of Mrs Snezana Samardjic-Markovic, minister of sports and youth of therepublicofSerbiaand of the president of the Serbian Olympic Committee, Mr Vlade Divac, himself former NBA all-star and twice world champion. Another prominent star, Dejan Bodiroga has also expressed his support to the event.

The outdoor venue in the city park has been approved and promises to offer a very good quality show to all the participants and spectators.
