ASA Coach receives ‘Wingate Award’ 2011

TEL AVIV – The Israeli government and the Wingate Institute honoured Mr Ilan Kowalsky with the “Wingate Award” for the year 2011, on development and promotion of sport. Coach Kowalski received this award at the end of 2011 for the development and promotion of sport, with emphasis on university sport, among sports teams regardless of their religion and/or nationality.

Mr Kowalski is strongly involved in the Academic Sport Association (ASA Israel), the FISU Member Association fromIsrael, especially in the Friendship Games and is one of the founders of the My Way NGO, aimed at promoting co-existence through sports and support of immigrant athletes by strengthening their excellence in sport. In addition, Mr Kowalski is also very active at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya and the local community in general.
