2017 WU Bidding Update: Agreement of Support for FISU Educational Center Operation

21 October 2011

ALMATY –  October 19th, a cooperation agreement was signed between the International University Sports Federation and the International Universities Association of Physical Culture and Sports within the framework of the 1st International Scientific Conference for university students and young scientists titled “University Sports: Health and Prosperity of the Nation”, held in October. This agreement sets foundation for and supports the work of the FISU Education Center.

«The existence of an education center makes it possible to concentrate and systematize knowledge and experience gained in the course of preparing for and staging International University Games”, says Oleg Matytsin, first Vice-President of FISU.

He added that such experience can be adapted countrywide, as each country has a different accreditation system, volunteer working conditions, etc.

Note: the International Universities Association of Physical Culture and Sports was established in 2009. Currently, the Association has 42 members worldwide.
