WILKASY – The Universities Sailing Championship of Poland was concluded on September 22nd in the AZS Center on the Lake Niegocin in Wilkasy in north-eastern part of Poland.
The three-day regatta gathered almost 300 students from 36 universities across the country. This was one of the biggest regattas in the Omega class during this season. 72 teams participated inthis year’s edition, but the 2010 record when 102 teams participated was not beaten.
The event offers not only sports, but it is a wonderful opportunity to integrate and socialize in the rhythm of shanties.
The title of Universities Champion of Poland in Sailing went to Piotr Rzepecki from Jagiellonian University in Krakow in individual classification and in team classification the University of Gdansktook the first place.
