2011 SU Update: French Bring Biggest Delegation Ever

PARIS – The biggest French delegation in Universiade history will visit China under the aegis of the French University Sports Federation, with a total of 200 athletes involved in 19 disciplines at the Shenzhen Universiade: athletics, aerobics, badminton, beach volleyball, cycling, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics, judo, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, shooting, archery, sailing, volleyball and water polo.

Among them were future big names of French sport such as sponsors of the 2011 promotion Gévrise Emane and Romain Barras, who won gold at the Universiade Daegu 2003, successors to Jean Galfione and Alain Bernard, themselves former medallists at the Universiade.
