AACHEN – The 10th World University Equestrian Championship (WUEC) Organizing Committee met on April 5th, 2011 in Aachen, Germany for its second session. In the meeting, which was headed by the President of WUEC Dr. Verena Burk, high-level support from the political world could be notified: The German Federal President Christian Wulff takes over the patronage of the WUEC 2012.
The sports schedule has been set by the Organizing Committee as well. From August 22nd to 26th, 2012, the Aachener Soers – home of the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen –will open its doors for the student riders. “The area of the CHIO, the World Equestrian Festival, offers an ideal venue for the sports program. We are pleased to be able to organize the World University Equestrian Championship professionally at such a traditional equestrian center”, said President Dr. Verena Burk.
