2013 SU Update: Universiade Village Residents say NO to Drugs

KAZAN A lecture on drug abuse was held in the Universiade Village on Wednesday, February 16th. The event was organized by the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate under the auspices of the Department of the Federal Drug Control Service of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Nearly 60 residents of the Universiade Village came to attend the lecture that took place in Building 2. The students watched the video presentation titled “Challenge of drug addiction in the society” that provided statistic data of drug spread and fight against drugs in the Republic of Tatarstan. Chief specialist of the Department Marina Firsova delivered a lecture in which she told the students about stages of drug addiction and about drug expansion. “Each of us ought to protect yourselves and your family from the disease called drug addiction,” she said.

The Universiade Village was announced the Territory of Health and such events are expected to be held in the Universiade Village on a regular basis.
