2011 WU Update: Athletes Start to Arrive in Erzurum

ERZURUM – With a few days left to the Opening Ceremony of the 25th Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey, the athletes start to arrive.

The first foreign delegation to arrive in Erzurum was Japan. A first group of a total of 110 persons arrived in Erzurum. WU General Coordinator Bekir Korkmaz welcomed the 55 Japanese participants (37 student-athletes and 18 officials) and presented flowers to the Delegation President Kamaichi Suzuki.

KAZAN VOLUNTEERS ARRIVED

The 30 volunteers from Kazan, host city of the 2013 Summer Universiade also arrived in Erzurum.
