France Wins 5th edition of Master’U BNP Paribas Tennis Challenge

ROUEN The 5th edition of Master’U BNP Paribas International University Tennis Challenge was won on the courts of Little Bouverie, Rouen, France by the French university team that beat Team USA in the final.

Taking revenge for last year’s loss, “France U” composed of student-athletes Nathalie Piquion, Manon Garcia and Mathilde Cor (women’s team) and Dorian Descloix, Jules Marie and Elie Rousset (men’s team) successively defeated Belgium (7-0), Great Britain (6-1) and the United States in the finals (5-1).

The tricolor team completed a flawless course, both in singles and doubles, showing that it is high on the chessboard of the great nations of university sport.

The final ranking of this competition organized by the French University Sport Federation, in partnership with the FFT and BNP Paribas, is as follows:

4. Germany

5. Belgium

6. Ireland

7. China

8. Switzerland
