ERZURUM – The Torch carying the flame of the 25th Winter Universiade will reach İzmir tomorrow, Tuesday December 14th. The Torch Relay which started in İstanbul will now continue in İzmir, host city of the 23rd Summer Universiade in 2005. The Torch Relay meeting held in İzmir was attended by İzmir Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Sabri Sadıklar and Marketing & Organising Director Officer Oğuz Satır.
After İzmir the Universiade flame will continue its journey to Antalya, Gaziantep, Ankara, Trabzon and will finally arrive in Erzurum. The İzmir relay will start on December 14th at 11:00 am from Alsancak Police Station to Kordonboyu, Gündoğdu Square and will end on Cumhuriyet Square.
