2011 WU Update: Effective Communication Seminar for Security Staff

ERZURUM – Today marks the last 50 days to countdown to the Opening Ceremony of the 25^th Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey. In the meanwhile the city is buzzing with the last preparations. An ‘Effective Communication Seminar’ was staged for the police force who serves in Erzurum city.

The Seminar which was held at the Briefing hall in the Police HQ was given by Communication Techniques Expert Oğuz Saygın.

At the seminar which was attended by the Deputy Governor Mehmet Gök, police staff and members of the gendarmerie ways how to communicate effectively with foreign athletes and tourists who will come to the city were discussed. ‘According to research, body language is the most effective way to communicate and selected words and tone of the utterance of these words is also important’, Mr. Saygın stated.
