2010 WUC Equestrian Update: Sangju is Ready

SANGJU – The last FISU World University Championship of 2010 is launched. This championship year ends with the 9th edition of the World University Equestrian Championship in Sangju, Korea.

We can already tell that the year ends with a bang. Indeed the whole city of Sangju lives for the equestrian event. All streets are decorated with the colors of the championship and there’s not a crossroads without a portico with recalling the event and each light pole is decorated with a flag of the event or the colors of the participating countries.

The facilities are brand new and the FISU Technical Delegate Mr. Armbuster proved delighted with the facilities but also by the quality of horses that are available to our student riders. The referees and judges of the FEI have also shown delighted with the preparation and quality of the facilities.

Today the delegations will discover the facilities. During this day the meeting of the CISCA headed by Mr. Kenny Chow FISU EC member, will also be held, as well as the General Technical Meeting.

The delegate of the CIC Mr. Shen Zhen began working on the accreditation of the delegations. 19 countries are attending this tournament.
