2010 WUC Bridge Update: Kaohsiung is Ready

KAOHSIUNG The 5th World University Bridge Championship is going to be hosted at the National Sun Yat-sen University from 2nd to 9th August, 2010 in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei. Today, the college hosted a press conference to announce the 2010 WUC Bridge.

In 2000, the championship became worldwide, then the 1st World University Bridge Championship (2002) was finally held at Bruges, Belgium. Today, in six days of competition (4th to 9th), 14 teams from 10 countries will strive to succeed Poland and China as World University Champions. “We believe we will have a great competition with a high level of bridge.” said Yang Hung-Duen, President of National Sun Yat-sen University.

The opening ceremony of this championship will take place in the Library Building of National Sun Yat-sen University at 3:30 p.m. on August 3rd. The first round will be played at 9:30 a.m. on August 4th.
