2010 WUC Karate Update: Day 2 of Competitions

PODGORICA – On Junly 16th, the second day of the 7th World University Karate Championship there was no dominant country among the participants, and competitors from different countries stood on the podium. Germany is the only country which has won more than one medal.

Yesterday, the most interesting finale has been in the category kumite male -67kg. Kaserer (Austria) has surprised Daiki (Japan) winning the gold medal. In the category kumite male -75kg, Rengi (France) was convincing against Jovanović (Serbia).

In the category kumite female -61kg, Jin Jin (Japan) has won the gold medal in the fight with Spenser (Germany). The fights in programme for tomorrow (kumite male -84kg and +84kg, and kumite female -68kg and +68kg) are going to be really interesting.
