2010 WUC Handball Update: Host wins M/W Games at Opener of Tournament

NYIREGYHAZA – Today, Monday June 28th, the WUC officially kicked-off with the start of the competitions. The host nation started very strong winning their opening games in the Men’s and Women’s tournament. The men’s team defeated Cyprus by six goals, 28–22. And the women’s team won against Romania by eight goals difference, 36–28.

The biggest victory of the day was the women’s game by the national team of Czech Republic, they won against Poland by 21 goals difference, 40–19. The most exiting game was in the men’s tournament between Turkey and Ukraine which ended 23 to 21.

Turkey–Ukraine 23–21

(Czech Republic was free).
