2015 SU Update: Gwangju Delivers Masterplan

VIGO – Today, June 21st, Mr. Yoon-Suk Kim, Vice-Chair and Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of the 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju, Korea (GUOC), delivered the Masterplan for the 2015 SU to FISU President Killian. As the future host of the Summer Universiade is present with a delegation at the FISU Forum in Vigo, it was a perfect occasion to hand over the Masterplan to Mr. Killian.

The Masterplan includes information on the composition of the executive divisions and the concept and nature of all tasks to be addressed by each division. GUOC has studied, compared and analyzed a wide range of available data in order to include more detailed plans for work load management, scheduling and budgeting. This Masterplan is divided into sections dealing with planning and coordination, Games Operations, support management, facilities management, Athletes’ Village operations, cultural events, international cooperation, promotional activities and press relations, profit-oriented projects, marketing and lastly, projects to be implemented in conjunction with Gwangju Metropolitan City. Each section clearly describes project details, the responsible operational unit, basic budget requirements and timelines for implementation.
