2010 WUC Golf Update: Closing Ceremony

ANTEQUERA – The Closing Ceremony was the apotheosis of a successful 13th edition of the World University Golf Championship. Pedro Montiel, the President of the Organizing Committee and his staff and volunteers have done a remarkable job.

At the Closing of this FISU event all local civil and academic authorities were present as the Championship was a joint effort between the city, the University of Málaga, the region, the Autonomía and CEDU.

The picturesque old city part of Antequera once again was the setting of the activities with the awarding ceremony, the speeches and the final banquet. The reprensentative of the University, the Mayor Ricardo Millan Gomez, the OC President Pedro Montiel and CISCA Chair Leonz Eder thanked the participants in their speeches and stressed the importance of University Sport. Mr. Eder presented the authorities with a FISU souvenir.

The Closing Ceremony ended with the transmission of the FISU flag to the delegate of the next host, i.e. the city if Liberec as International University Golf will travel to the Czech Republic in 2012.
