ERZURUM – FISU Secretary-General/CEO Eric Saintrond, FISU Director for the Winter Universiade Milan Augustin and FISU Director of Media & Communications are curently in Erzurum, host city of the 2011 Winter Universiade, for a working visit. Yesterday, June 10th, the Erzurum Organizing Committee, headed by General Coordinator Bekir Korkmaz gave an update of the activities so far. Views were exchanged related to final state of the GMS, marketing strategy and sponsorship,PR and media communication planning, the Athletes’ Village, visa issues and the preliminary transportation plan. After the meeting, the FISU delegates went to see the Athletes’ Village, the venue for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the MPC and IBC and the guest houses.
Today, more inspection visits are scheduled, i.e. the Konaklı resort, more Erzurum sport facilities as well as the Palandoken and Kandilli resorts.
