2010 WUC Handball Update: Team Draw

Brussels – The team draw for the 20th World University Handball Championship took place recently in attendance of the FISU Technical Chair for Handball Mr. Taborsky and members of the OC and the Hungarian NUSF.

11 men’s teams and 7 women’s teams have entered the Championship. The men’s competition will be played in two pools, with host Hungary, Serbia, Poland, Cyprus and Egypt in pool A, while Turkey, Japan, Czech Republic, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates and Mexico will play the preliminary round in pool B.

The women’s teams will play in one pool with Hungary, Turkey, Czech Republic, Poland, Brazil, Romania and Japan.

The 2010 WUC Handball will take place in Nyiregyhaza, Hungary from June 27th to July 4th.
