Inspection visits and meetings are currently taking place in Shenzhen, China for the continuous preparation of the 2011 Summer Universiade by the CTI Chair and FISU Secretariat members.
After the technical inspection for tennis conducted at the end of last week, FISU Sports Manager Michal Buchel was joined last Sunday March 21 by Mr. Stavros Douvis, FISU CTI Chair; Mr. Marc Vandenplas, FISU Director for Summer Universiade; Mr. Dejan Susovic, the newly appointed FISU Media and Communications Director; Mr. Pascal Libert, FISU IT Manager and Mrs. Hedwige Hankart, Assistant to the Secretary-General/CEO.
The first day was dedicated to the inspection of a number of sports facilities, hotels for the FISU Family members and meetings with some sports departments. The day ended with an official dinner hosted by Mr Liang Daoxing, Vice-Mayor of Shenzhen and Vice-President of the Executive Board of the 26th Summer Universiade OC.
