OC 2011 WU Promotes Erzurum at ISPO Fair in Munich

The Organizing Committee of the 2011 Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey has sent a delegation to promote the future Universiade host city at the biggest sports fair in Europe, the ISPO Fair in Munich, Germany.

The Erzurum delegation was visited by a VIP guest as Turkish Minister of Sports Faruk Özak came to the promotion booth at the Fair. ‘Erzurum is becoming a new world class center for Winter Games’, the Minister told the international press. ‘We are spending 350 million dollars for the operational and non-operational costs.We are constructing increadible facilities which has never been done before in Turkey.’

Furthermore, Minister Özak stated that 60 percent of the works are completed. ‘Once the weather conditions are favorable, the construction work can be finished in the next months. Our Prime Minister and the Government give their fully support. We are working continuously. I’m confident that we are going to stage a very successful organization’, the Minister said.
