2010 WUC Handball Update: CT Chair Inspects Venues

On October 1st, 2009, Mr. Frantisek Taborski, FISU Technical Chair for handball travelled to Hungary for an official inspection visit of the venues and OC of the 2010 World University Handball Championship which will be staged in Nyíregyháza. He visited all the competition venues and the Campus of the College of Nyíregyháza, considering all facilities appropriate to meet the FISU requirements.

It has been decided that more than 60 games (both men’s and women’s) will be held in 11 venues. On October 3rd Mr. Taborski met The FIABCI Awardwith the Mayor of the city of Nyíregyháza, Mrs. Csabai Lászlóné, who ensured her guest that, the city will do its utmost in order to support the organization of this event, trying to enrich the competition program with cultural events. On the same day, following a press conference Mr. Taborski and Mr. Andor Tompa, Chair of the OC have discussed all the tasks that have to be done in the next few months.

 

Last but not least we would like to inform all the interested parties that the Property Development of the Campus of the College of Nyíregyháza (host of the event) has won the award of “The International Real Estate Federation” (FIABCI) in the Public Sector Category.
