The FISU delegates visiting the building site of the Athletes’ Village
EC member and CTI Chair Mr. Stavros Douvis and the CT Chairs of the sports which are in the program of the 2011 Summer Universiade are in Shenzhen since October 15th, 2009 for a working visit.
The CT Chairs of the team sports are having meetings with the Sports and Venues Department and are inspecting all the venues that are proposed by the Organizing Committee. They will be joined in the next days by the CT Chairs of the individual and optional sports.
Other meetings are also taking place between the FISU Staff members present in Shenzhen and the staff of the different departments of the Organizing Committee.
This working visit marks the real starting point of an intense collaboration between FISU and the Shenzhen Organizing Committee for the next 22 months up to the day of the Opening Ceremony of the 26th Summer Universiade in 2011.
