1st Asian University Women’s Volleyball Championship – Day 1

The 1st Asian University Women’s Volleyball Championship will be held from October 4 to 11, 2009. There are 115 participants in total from China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Laos, Malaysia and the host country – Thailand. With FISU’s support, the championships of Asian University Sports Federation are becoming more and more popular.

Cultural PerformanceOn Saturday, October 3rd, 2009, after the General Technical Meeting, Dr. Mathana Santiwat, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, hosted “the 1st Asian University Woman’s Volleyball Championship” welcome dinner for the athletes, officials, national delegations, media, and guests of honors at Suphanahong Ballroom, Alexander Hotel of Thailand. The event included welcome remarks by Dr. Mathana Santiwat and the presentation of gifts to the Asian University Sports Federation, national delegations, and sponsors. An impressive cultural performance by Bangkok University students was performed at the end of the event.
